Despite its secretive nature, the Xiuhtic is extremely agile and fast. Its thin, muscular legs allow it to glide gracefully between trees and jump between branches with surprising agility. It prefers to move in the shadows, where it feels safer, and uses its ability to sneak as a primary defense against predators.
