H.E.R.B. a service bot.
This project was inspired by a reflection on Uber Eats initiative to start using robots for its delivery service and what was happening around it, but in this case taking it to a futuristic, optimistic and sustainable context.
Among its functions is transporting critical resources: food, water, medicine, parts.
It also monitors the condition of the living infrastructure (plants, panels, water).
No "futuristic police" here.
Rather: an everyday presence.
The quadruped is inherently friendly, not because of fashion, but because of cultural and physical memory.
We immediately associate it with a working animal or companion.
It's not dominant like a humanoid. It's not abstract like a drone.
A stable, reliable, ever-present silhouette.
It represents collective responsibility.
It embodies the idea that the future is maintained through constant care.
The guardian of the commons. It doesn't protect property. It protects continuity.

In a future where communities prioritize collective care and their relationship with the environment, HERB is an autonomous service robot designed to assist with daily delivery and maintenance tasks. However, its primary function is not transportation, but rather the preservation of the living memory of the territory.
Through its daily journeys, HERB records environmental changes, minor repairs, human marks, and community gestures, becoming a physical and emotional logbook of the place it inhabits. The passage of time is imprinted on its body: footprints, writing, patches, and signs that reflect an ongoing relationship between people, technology, and nature.
HERB doesn't monitor or optimize; it accompanies. It exists to demonstrate that constant care—however small and silent—is what sustains a community in the long term.
